I den h\u00e4r artikeln unders\u00f6ker vi om och i vilken utstr\u00e4ckning det kan finnas ett samband mellan de tv\u00e5. Vi g\u00f6r det utifr\u00e5n en juridisk, empirisk och j\u00e4mf\u00f6rande analys av fyra jurisdiktioner (Polen, Ungern, Uruguay och Argentina) genom ett genusperspektiv. Den politiska och konstitutionella litteraturen antyder f\u00f6rekomsten av populistisk retorik i varje stats inrikespolitik. De skiljer sig dock \u00e5t p\u00e5 potentiellt relevanta s\u00e4tt, inklusive olika regionala ramverk f\u00f6r m\u00e4nskliga r\u00e4ttigheter, varierande resultat inom demokratiindex och olika former av populism som litteraturen har identifierat d\u00e4ri.
